A little bit about myself. I am the husband to my middle school sweetheart and the father of five amazing children. I enjoy playing video games, when I get the chance, going to the beach, eating different foods from around the world and I am a HUGE WDW fan.
My philosophy of what education is stems from the quote by Sir Ken Robinson, "Part of education is learning. And what drives learning is curiosity and collaboration."
My job has me wearing many hats. First and foremost I am an educator. How I collaborate with others in my field drives the success of my students. As a facility manager for a large fine arts building I have to collaborate not just with visiting programs, departments, and events using our building but also the campus staff when upgrades to their spaces are needed or with our facilities and planning department when issues arrive which need to be addressed. All of which lead to benefiting the students taught in our facility.
Part of the success that I have had in my twenty three years of being in this business is that I love learning from others. I firmly believe that when we are open to learning from others and what they offer we can really establish something special for our students in the classroom.
