D.O.G.S. stands for Dads of Great Students, however, we are happy to include uncles, grandfathers, and other guest volunteers as positive role models on our campus!

Watch D.O.G.S. may be seen reading or working with students, playing at recess, eating lunch with students, securing the school entrances and hallways, assisting with traﬃc ﬂow, and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with students on our campus as a positive presence and role model.

Please fill out the information below to receive further information about Watch D.O.G.S. this school year! All Watch D.O.G.S. are required to be approved volunteers. If you have not done so yet, please fill out our Background Check Form to become an approved NISD volunteer. The district also requires a Volunteer 101 training. We are excited to have you join us on campus soon! We will be reaching out to you to share information regarding signing up for dates to volunteer on campus. Big Brothers Big Sisters

We love having Big Brothers and Big Sisters school based mentors at Hughes! If you are interested in becoming a mentor please make sure you are first an approved volunteer through NISD. Second you will fill out the application through the Greater Tarrant Region: Big Brother Big Sister Form

If you are interested in your child being matched with a Big, please go to the Needs form on the resources page and select that you would like your child to have a volunteer.
