A Design Thinking Framework for Education

1Hear an overview of the LAUNCH Cycle from one of the authors.

Register in Edugence - Not being offered for 2022-23

Not offered for 2023-24

This book study is self-paced.  After each chapter that discusses a phase of the LAUNCH Cycle, you'll will use a technology tool (see table below) to respond to the content.  Questions are provided for each assignment.  Choose a question or 2 from each task card to generate content for each product.

There will also be two Zoom sessions to discuss the book.  You will need to choose one to participate in.

Reading Response:

  • Respond to each reading assignment by selecting a different technology tool. Over the course of the book study, you will need to pick at least one tool from the following columns: A, U, and N.

  • Your other two products can come from any of the 5 columns.

  • You cannot use the same tech tool for the same purpose more than once.

After creating a product with a tech tool, you'll do two things to share:

  1. Tweet out your product using #launchnisd and @audrarowell94.

  2. Post your product on your ePortfolio.

A book will be provided to the first 20 teachers who register. Additional teachers are invited to participate, but must purchase their own book.

Complete this form at any point before reading Chapter 4.
