ABOUT MRS. STEVENSON
Hello! My name is Shannon Stevenson and I am excited to begin my 21st year of teaching as a CTMS Bulldog! My career started in Fredericksburg, VA in 2004 where I taught elementary strings and was the head director at two middle schools. In 2009 I moved back to Arlington, TX where I taught one year of elementary strings and spent three years as an assistant director at Lamar High School. In 2013 I accepted a position as a co-director at Wilson Middle School right here in NISD. This will be my 4th year at CTMS.
I was born and raised in Arlington, TX and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA where I received my Bachelors of Music Education. Four years ago my family moved from the Haslet area to Rhome. My husband is the Head Athletic Trainer at Northwest High School. My son graduated from Eaton HS and attends James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA; and my daughter will be a 6th grader at CTMS this year! I also have two bonus daughters that live in Prosper. My favorite things to do are camp with my family, work in my garden and play my cello at church on Sunday's. The beach is my happy place- I love recharging my batteries near the ocean every summer.
I'm looking forward to a great year!
