Helpful Tips

Label Your Child's Belongings

Please remember that we have several hundred students in the building. This means that many coats, backpacks, and lunchboxes look alike!!! Please write your child's name in any removable or unattached belongings. After the first few weeks of practicing, it will be your child's responsibility to keep up with all their things.

Wear Appropriate Shoes!

In first grade, students go to recess everyday and PE 3 days a week.  In order to make sure we keep them safe it is important to wear the appropriate shoes daily.

Appropriate Shoes:

If inappropriate shoes are worn to school students will be asked to sit out of activities during recess and PE to keep them safe.

Breakfast & Lunch

You can add money to your child's cafeteria account by signing in to www.myschoolbucks.com. You are also able to add limits/alerts as needed through this account.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to an abundance of traffic in the front office during the lunch hours, forgotten lunches must now be dropped off in the office no later than 9:30 AM. If you are unable to drop your student's lunch off by 9:30, your child will still be able to get a lunch in the cafeteria.

Birthday Celebrations

This year, birthday treats will be allowed ONLY in the form of non-edible trinkets. To ensure safety and inclusion of all students, we are requesting that no food items are brought to celebrate student birthdays. You are more than welcome to make a small goodie bag for each student or send in a single item, if you choose. Ideas could inclue stickers, stamps, fun pencils, small bubble wands, etc.
