Greetings Families,

I hope that everyone enjoyed a great Winter Break. Our staff certainly did and we came in last week rejuvenated and ready to rock this second semester! We have many great upcoming events to look forward to. Coming up already next week is Beckopoly and then shortly after we've got our Daddy Daughter Dance. So much to look forward to! All event dates have been updated below. Mark your calendars for this exciting time of year!

I am really looking forward to Beckopoly next week! My own kiddo loves this event as a 'shopper.' We purchase some Beck Bucks and we get to shop at all of the great student stores; purchasing crafts, bracelets, toys, treats, and much more. The creativity of our students is remarkable. I hope that you will be able to make it and join the fun.

Volunteers Needed

Guided Reading Library HelpWe need some help with organizing our Guided Reading Library. We have some buckets of books that need to be combined in to bins and relabeled. This is about 3,000-4,000 books. We could really use some help from someone who likes to organize! We made slots that are from 8:30-2:00. Feel free to sign up and stay for whatever time you are able to make, 2 hours, 3 hours, we will take whatever help we can get with this project. Extra bonus, take a break and join your student for lunch! Thank you for considering supporting us!

Happy 2023! As we focus on the new year, this month we will be talking about our aspirations and goals. The students will be settings goals and making vision boards to both self reflect and think about their goals/aspirations.

Our Amazing shake is coming up at the end of March. This is the competition where we will get to "show off" the Strive for Five (see flyer below), soft skills, we have been working on. We practice these skills daily, but we want to highlight some that we will be focusing on during the school day for the weeks before the Amazing Shake. We hope you help us reinforce these skills at home.. The students and teachers will be naturally practicing these skills.
