Students will further develop their coding and computational thinking skills by learning a new programing language. Students will also choose a client for whom they will develop the computer application and then finding a problem that is relevant to that person or group of people. By learning how to code in java students will also explore some basic logical operators and algorithms. The final product will be a java application that solves the problem that they found.

The product of the unit is a Java application, during the development of this unit the students will develop their programing skills, and learn how to make a simple computer application. This will allow the students to have another way of solving a given problem and improve a client situation. Also during the unit students will be working will real life people thinking on how to improve their daily lives, training them in the process of finding areas of opportunities were they can intervene.
