Weekly CAS record
CAS is a personal experience. Students will have a lot of collaborative projects and interaction. However, experiential learning comes as a result of the student's own commitments, and meaningful reflections.
CAS requires the students tp be engaged in the development of the learning outcomes throughout 18 months in the DP experience.
The weekly CAS records are the means to record the CAS involvement of each student. They are completed by the students, and checked by the advisor.
The record should show:
Name of the CAS experience or project
CAS element targeted
Date of attendance, and duration of the experience
Brief description of the role of the student
WEEKLY RECORDS FROM SEPTEMBER 2023 ARE CHANGING!
After using the above model of the CAS weekly records with two cohorts, the advisors gave us feedback that the students are completing it at then end of a month, and not weekly, defiting its purpose. For this reason, the weekly records will now be recorded in a Google Form. The entries remain the same, but the advisors will be able to see the time stamp for the completion, as well as being able to see which strands of CAS are stronger or weaker.
