Letter to Representatives

Dear All

Al Nibras Schools is hosting the PEAK conference 2020. Under the theme of “Inclusion is a way of life”. This conference is an excellent development opportunity for all involved in the education field.

We are inviting your school to join us in that event since inclusive education is the link to an inclusive community. When students with varied abilities, interests, and backgrounds learning together in school, they experience diversity as a community norm. As educators become more successful in implementing inclusive practices, more students are having the opportunity to grow socially and academically.

PEAK School Representative will have a supporting role to participants and to the school staff who would like to present at the conference. The following will determine the duties of each school representative:

Registration of Participants

Register participants from your school via the online link Registration Form.

• Submit the registration cost of 10 KD per participant.
• Submit a gift card “raffle prize” worth a minimum of 25 KD. Submit the raffle prize when you submit the participants’ fees at Al-Nibras International Bilingual School “NIS”. If the raffle prize is paid in cash, you will receive a receipt from the cashier (Please mention to the cashier that this amount is for the raffle prize). If you have it as a voucher or a gift card, put in an envelope and label it with your school name. You may divide the amount into two cards.

The deadline for registration is Dec. 22, 2019. The last day to pay for registration is Dec. 26, 2019. The registration fees for participants will be paid in “cash or k-net” at the cashier of Al Nibras school. Please bring a copy of the school participants’ names to be submitted to the cashier while paying.

• The final list of registration for each school will be sent to the school Rep to confirm it.
• Collect the names’ tags for paid participants from Al-Nibras International Bilingual School. It will be available at the receptionist desk “gate one” from Sunday Feb. 2, to Thursday Feb. 6, 2020 between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Also, on Thursday Feb. 6 between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
• Bring a copy of your school participants’ names’ list to match the names and make sure it is spelled correctly.
• Distribute the name-tags to participants before they attend PEAK. At the entrance and upon arrival, each participant will sign his name and receive the swag bag.
• When registering your school participants, make sure that the spelling is correct since these names will be used to issue the certificates.
• Certificates for participants and presenters will be sent to you as an attachment via email. Kindly print and distribute to the participants.

Registration Deadline for presenters is Dec. 10, 2019

• If a staff member is presenting, only register him/her as a presenter.
• Presenters will fill out the online workshop proposal form:

• Presenters will submit the online workshop proposal form for each proposed workshop by December 10, 2019. Presenters of accepted proposals will be notified by Jan. 12, 2020. Sending the PPT presentation to PEAK 2020 Committee is optional.
• After approval, presenters need to confirm their commitment to attend as presenters via sending an email through their school representatives.
• The presenters will be responsible for having their presentations on their laptops and on a USB on the date of presenting.
• Schools are encouraged to register a minimum of one presenter for every 10 participants.
• Participants may submit more than one proposal for presenting.
• Presenters may present more than one workshop or the same workshop multiple times, or the same workshop once in English and once in Arabic.
• Inform PEAK Presenters that all sessions are 50 minutes in length
• Strongly suggested that the proposed workshops be approved/supported by their school administration.
• Inform PEAK Presenters that they have to visit Al-Nibras Schools’ premises to receive their names’ tags and to look at their rooms’ locations and set up, on Thursday Feb. 6, 2020 between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm. They have to bring their laptops, adapter, and USB to test the equipment for presenting during PEAK.
• Presenters are responsible for bringing:

1- Laptop with HDMI Port

2- HDMI adapter (if your laptop doesn't have HDMI Port)

3- Copy of the presentation on a USB

4- Presentation Pointer (optional)

• Projectors, smart boards or TV. and Wi-Fi are available in rooms.

Important Dates and Information

• PEAK, Feb. 8, 2020 (see flyer for additional details)
• Registration for participants is already opened and will end Dec. 22, 2019.
• The Fee for participants is 10 KD, and 25 KD gift card per school. Presenters attending is for free.
• Fees should be paid in full by Dec. 26, 2019, at Al-Nibras International Bilingual School.
• Registration for presenters is already opened and accepting the presentation’s proposal will end Dec. 10, 2019. Presenters approved will be notified by Jan. 12, 2020.
• The last day for Vendors’ registration is Jan. 12, 2020.
• All payments are non-refundable
