What will change?

New User Role: Account Administrator

This new role combines the functionality of existing Sponsors and Organization Administrators by automatically enabling both views in the Testing Center.

As an account administrator, you can:

  • View profile information for candidates that select your name when registering
  • View account codes for your organization
  • View all NIMS resources, including industry standards and performance documents

This role will continue to improve with new functions that will be added in 2018 and beyond.

Existing Sponsors and Organization Administrators will be migrated as Account Administrators.

Improved User Type: General User

  • FREE registration to access NIMS standards and other resources
  • Upgrade to a Candidate or other user account type for testing center access by contacting NIMS

New Registration and Profile Pages

  • Fit with new look and feel of the website
  • Note: No duplicate email addresses allowed moving forward

What will stay the same for this phase?

Testing Process and Interface

The new user interface released on October 1, 2017 will remain, along with the new zoom and review features. Automated test feedback and other new functionality will be available at the end of Phase 2.

Organization Reporting

Until the completion of Phase 2, all requests for credential reports for a particular organization should go to support@nims-skills.org.

Payment Pages

All registration and testing fees will be processed through the existing pages.

Submission of Affidavits

Affidavits should still be signed, scanned, and submitted to NIMS via this form: https://goo.gl/s9PBcV. Phase 2 will include the new process of submitting them electronically.

Proctors

Proctors will still have and use their confidential proctor code during testing.
