Rahul is a Senior Research Fellow (UGC), having joined the laboratory as a Junior Research Fellow in 2023. His Ph.D. research examines the effectiveness of virtual cognitive retraining interventions in traumatic brain injury, integrating fNIRS-based hemodynamic measures with neuropsychological outcomes. His research interests include functional neuroimaging, experimental paradigm design, and digital approaches to cognitive assessment and rehabilitation.
PhD Scholar, 1st Year | Clinical Psychologist
Abhishek is a Junior Research Felllow (UGC) and Clinical Psychologist at the Clinical Neuropsychology Unit, Department of Clinical Psychology. He joined the laboratory in 2025, having completed his MPhil in Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS. His PhD work focuses on functional neuroimaging in drug-resistant epilepsy, examining task-based cortical hemodynamic responses using fNIRS in comparison with healthy controls, alongside detailed neuropsychological profiling.
His research interests include experimental paradigm development, lateralization analysis, and the integration of neuroimaging and neuropsychological data. Previously he has worked on fNIRS-based research on cognitive and affective control in Social Anxiety Disorder. Clinically, he is involved in comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, cognitive retraining and rehabilitation, and intra-operative neuropsychological assessments, in neurological and neurosurgical population.
