PANORAMIC
CPMS code: 51313
PANORAMIC is a platform trial designed to efficiently evaluate the effectiveness of antiviral agents for people with confirmed, acute symptomatic SARS CoV-2 infection in the community. To determine the effectiveness of selected antiviral agents in preventing hospitalisation and/or death in patients at higher risk of an adverse outcome who have a confirmed SARS-CoV-2 test. Primary Outcome: all-cause, non-elective hospitalisation and/or death within 28 days of randomisation
UDATE: 27.04.2022
We're encouraging sites to use the NHS Digital Population Health Platform.
This tool will list patients who:
have tested positive for COVID-19 with a rapid lateral flow test*, registered with GOV.UK, or a PCR test from pillars 1 or 2 within the last 7 days
meet the eligibility criteria for the PANORAMIC study, according to the data coded in their medical records
are registered at the associated GP practice
Please find out more by visiting the panoramic platform page of the PRIDES website: https://sites.google.com/nihr.ac.uk/crnprides/research-in-primary-care/panoramic
If you do not wish to use this platform, you can continue to run the daily searches in your practice - please scroll down for the EMIS and SystmOn resources.
Do you have a question about the PANORAMIC search?
Your question may have already been answered in the searchable Q&A Database at the bottom of this page.
If you have a new question, please submit via the PANORAMIC EMIS & SystmOne Health Informatics Query Form. Answers will be posted into the searchable Q&A Database at the bottom of this page within 48 hours (during business hours).
Please note: we cannot respond to comments about updating the content of the current search/coding due to the high volume of query's we're receiving.

Inclusion search 2 - LFT+ Test results included
Output reports show test code date and description (confirmation of ID based on PCR or LFT)
A daily manual run of the search is be best, so there is a better chance of including all PCR+ cases received in the GP record at the point the daily contact list is accessed.
The criteria are symptoms within 5d and PCR within 7d. So someone might be asymptomatic and have a positive PCR e.g. just caught it from a household member but only become symptomatic a few days later. This is unlikely to be a major issue as the trial moves forward as people will be picked up earlier after the positive PCR as the daily searches are run
The coding template is also a manual launch in each patient record after the initial eligibility call is successfully made, although the template only needs to be searched for at the first point of use.
The coding activity in the patient record, around the eligibility calls is crucial in terms of reducing the chance of patients being contacted multiple times, via reappearance in search results. That coding activity will also be required once the NHS-D platform is available to sites.

SystmOne Resources
UPDATE 30.06.2022: PANORAMIC Systm One search has been updated to take into account the recent changes to the criteria for referral for CDMU/nmab therapy. Practices can update the searches by refreshing their searches from the S1 resource library (section 1 - best option as this links with the templates and pop-ups) or download from the link below (section 2) .
S1 guidance - Search Update to include LFT+ results - Added 19/01/2022
Practices can access the SystmOne search in one of three ways:
Download the resources from the S1 library (RECOMMENDED)
Firstly, assign a new folder for the searches as they are imported.
Type PANORAMIC in to the search box and then download each of the resources starting at the top and working down to the bottom:
Some practice have experienced technical issues trying to access the S1 library - in this case, please directly download the search from section 2)
2. Download the S1 report from this webpage (link below). Use the guidance video (YouTube) if you need support:
S1 Search (.rpt) - Updated 30.06.2022
YouTube Guidance - How to download the PANORAMIC resources to SystmOne - Added 27/04/2022
3. Join the CDRC organisation group which will give them access to all CDRC resources but does upload some tools that will start to run automatically - further information can be found here Web view. Accessing this way will ensure that any updates will be automatically applied to your system

Searches 1and 2 are everyone who would be eligible if they had covid, in case you want to contact them to say – 'get in touch if you develop covid as you might be eligible for entry into a covid antiviral trial'
The other resources in the library are for
a PANORAMIC template which makes it MUCH easier to screen and code patients appropriately
an optional protocol which will open the template if an eligible patient is retrieved e.g. for opportunistic invitation.
They are not mandatory but the template, in particular, will make life much easier.
