Project 13.5

______________

Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for specialties/disease areas/Integrated Care Systems (ICSs)/eco-systems

Project Summary

_________

This project aimed to explore the opportunities and potential benefits of a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for specialities across the Clinical Research Network West Midlands (CRN WM) with a view to streamlining processes and maximising the opportunities for collaboration and participation in commercial research. Through conversations with various stakeholders the project focused on the potential to work up and submit joint bids/submissions for commercial studies within the currently defined national processes, allowing regional models for collaboration in research that spans. This included meetings with specialty interest groups, experience with large scale vaccine studies, CRN-wide survey feedback, and direct feedback from Partner Organisations, the CRN Coordinating Centre and others.
