Our focus is public-facing and responsible for; the College's paid promotion campaigns for brand awareness, general recruitment, and business & community solutions. We develop collateral, research, analyze and measure results to meet clearly defined strategic goals.
Marketing supports the recruitment and BCS teams by creating awareness that drives consumers to take measurable action. The recruitment and BCS teams are then responsible for "relationship building, enrollment and closing the sale."
Internal Messaging Monitors are located at all campus and center locations. They are intended to share action-oriented messages with students, the public, staff, and visitors.

Public relations helps tell the College story and assists in crafting public messages. The communications team is the point of contact for media requests and assists in managing any negative public comments or concerns. As well as crafting newsletters, testimonials, editorials, interviews, and other public communications.

Professional photoshoots are scheduled annually on each campus and with BCS. We work with faculty and staff to identify students and rely on faculty assistance during the photoshoot to ensure program details are represented accurately.
Twice a year staff headshots are taken around the start of Fall and Spring terms. A message will be placed in the NEWS HUB with a link to sign up for a time at either the Calmar or Peosta campus.

The College must rely on all faculty/staff to play a role in taking and sharing event or classroom/lab photos. Cell phones take amazing photos which makes it easy to take and share photos via email. When you take photos email them to media@nicc.edu with a few descriptive details and we will post them on social media or share them in other ways.
The public relations staff are responsible for photo coverage of news and events that are relevant to timely newsworthy stories, social media or marketing initiatives.

The communications team has the ability to record audio for radio, video overlay and more. After recording, the communications team will take the audio and edit it for you to use. Recording audio requests will be completed in the order the request is received. The communications team will contact you when your request is next in line.
We work closely with the operations teams to update College-wide institutional and environmental signage.

The social media team is trained in strategy, algorithms, and content. Campaign requests are reviewed by the social media manager to determine the best-suited platform. The social media team assists with the creation of graphics, content, or scheduling postings.
All new social media accounts and groups must be approved by the social media manager. We work strictly with unpaid social media - paid social media is managed through the marketing team.

The communications team can shoot and produce videos. Canva also has templates for you to put together your own video. Video requests are completed in the order received and will contact you when your request is next in line. Video production projects can take anywhere from 2 - 8 weeks depending on the scope. The types of videos we work on inclue testimonials/interviews, select public events, promotions, and social media.
The Webmaster oversees the management of the www.nicc.edu design, functionality, development, user experience, content management, accessibility, accuracy, managing and training content managers, and much more.
