Casa El Norte has been helping refugee's for over 32 years now, however they are still one of the smaller charities in Fort Erie with only one house. With their limited size they have been able to help up to 12 refugee's at a time and are always at capacity. As a transition home, Casa El Norte has been able to assist thousands of refugee's coming into Canada.

If Casa El Norte receives the $5,000 grant it would be immensely helpful for the charity. Casa El Norte helps residents find their own housing and then provides them with the basic necessities to live such as pots, pans, linen, bedding etc. With the $5,000 grant Casa El Norte can afford to provide proper transport to and from work, new housing for outgoing residents and even maintaining fresh and healthy food supplies. This grant would allow Casa El Norte to help its residents more than ever before.
