Volunteers
Who is considered a “volunteer”? Any person working with our students who is not employed by the New Haven Unified School District.
** All overnight or out of state field trips REQUIRE Board approval and MUST be received at the ESC 60 days prior to departure **
** All single day/within California field trip requests MUST by received by the ESC 30 days prior to departure **
Submit all of the following to request a field trip:
Field Trip Request Form: One Day Request (PDF) | Overnight/Out of State
Signed Parent Letter (Google Doc Template) (the version that will be sent to parents/guardians)
Field Trip Permission Slip (submit to site office only)
Driver Data Form (Necessary IF you or a volunteer will be driving students)
Important Reminders
Before planning a trip, please check with the Main Office to confirm that sub coverage will be available on requested trip date(s).
A certificated staff member MUST be present during all field trips. Students cannot be supervised by a non-certificated staff member; including classified management.
