Athletics

Our Athletics Program at James Logan High School is a diverse and inclusive place where Student-Athletes can thrive in. Our Boys and Girls Athletics Program originated in 1959, and the long tradition still withstands today. There are over 1,000 students who are able to call themselves a player amongst our wide selection of 22 sports.

Student-Athletes have countless opportunities to get recognized outside of James Logan High School. Events like NCS (North Coast Section), CIF (California Interscholastic Federation), MVALS, and Bay Area Student-Athletes Of The Week.

ASB & Athletics

Leadership and our Athletics Program work hand in hand to guarantee not only our Student-Athletes receive quality support, but so do our spectators and the families of these athletes.

The mission of the ASB Athletics Commissioners is to minimize the gap between students and our Athletics Program. The ASB Athletics Commissioners are responsible for communicating with coaches and publicizing any special events and/or games that are being hosted. By promoting student participation in the stands, especially with our new incorporation of Student Sections, sporting events have appealed more to our students than ever before! The decorating and fundamental logistics that were coordinated behind the scenes, were all done by the ASB Athletics Commissioners and fellow Leadership class.

Social Media is our key way of bridging the distance between students and our Athletics Program. Every week, the ASB Athletics Commissioners upload information about every game, even ones that are away games, to @jlhs_athletics. It is their core responsibility to provide as much information as needed to the public so that all sporting events go as smoothly as possible.

Leadership volunteers work at sporting event gates in order to verify all GoFan tickets and organize certain people in their correct, designated spots, such as referees, administrators, and even spectators. When entering a sporting event, the first person you will interact with will be a Leadership student. They are there to greet all spectators, families, and friends, with an inviting smile and efficient diligence to thoroughly complete their duties.
