In Taiwan, almost 40% of the population is migrant workers. In other words, one in every forty Taiwanese will be migrant workers. In 2017. the migrant workers who live in Taiwan achieve 676142 population.
95% industry migrant workers are working in manufacturing. Their works are major for 3K manufacturing requirements. Although many Taiwanese manufacturing companies employ migrant workers, the manufacturing vacancy is still in the top three of Taiwan labor vacancies.

Outbound migrant workers are not like inbound ones who will be under the Labor Standard act's protection, which provides a basic salary of 22000NTD($786) per month. Also, migrant workers' inequality provisions are still within the scope of improvement. Many groups are helping fighting for migrant workers' right. Such as Haixing International Service Center, having a religious background. Or House Of Migrants Empowerment, established by Zheng Cun qi, the former director of labor of Taipei city.
