Join in the fun of a sing-along!  All ages welcome.  We will be having a great time singing along to some upbeat, inspiring songs!

A workshop to spread stroke awareness education to all students of New Haven Public Schools. In addition, a limited edition book about stroke awareness free of charge entitled “Be Fast, Be a Superhero” will be made available after the presentation.

Explore the many emotions, animals, and stories that the flute can conjure in this short concert. SEL and interdisciplinary arts will be integrated into this performance.

From Rube Goldberg Machines to mechanical linkage toys and crank-driven automata, kinetic artists use engineering principles and maker skills to make ordinary objects act in extraordinary ways! 

From earth worms to dinosaurs, Lucky Duck learns you don't have to travel far to learn about all sorts of animals! Go on a journey through the jungle and meet all kinds of animal friends in this wild puppet show! Featuring our popular rendition of The Lion and the Mouse from Aesop's Fables.

Readaloud of the book entitled, "The Robot Who Was Different - an educational story about self-esteem."

Join one of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra's amazing musicians, Remy Taghavi, as he plays his bassoon and tells the story of Steven Kellogg's book, "Ralph's Secret Weapon." Ralph visits his Aunt Georgianna for summer vacation and gets the adventure of a lifetime! Besides having fun with the book, you'll learn about a bassoon, how to conduct, and be able to ask Remy questions about what it's like to be a musician!

A magic show unlike any other! Lucky Duck wants to be a Magician when he grows up, and is eagerly awaiting a Magic Show from Mini Bunny the Magician - but wait! Mini Bunny is nowhere to be seen. Lucky Duck and the kids must put on their detective hats, and find him! Along the way they'll learn some magic tricks themselves, and learn about the magic in nature, art, and building, within each and every one of us.

Teachers and students will experience a mindful movement workshop with light yoga and dance moves to promote relaxation and mindfulness.

Teachers are invited to sign up their class to take part in a kindness session focused on building community, compassion, and positive connections. Students will engage in age-appropriate activities that encourage respect, inclusion, and peer connection. Together, we can make kindness a daily practice.

A lively reading of Goodnight Moon, making the story engaging and fun. After the reading, I will take the students on a virtual tour of our Linguistic room, which is inspired by the book.

Read-aloud: The Worry Balloon by Mónica Mancillas; virtual balloon visualization, virtual drawing activity (can be done offline).

Students will create a set of their own 'emojis' to reflect how they are feeling that day (Ie. Happy, sad, angry, bored, sleepy, etc.). These will be used to create a 'daily emote chart' to help them to track their mood each day. Tracking your mood can help you understand yourself better. This can help with pattern recognition, self-awareness and self-regulation in folks younger and older alike!

NOTE - Pencil and paper needed; coloring tools like crayons, markers, or colored pencils are optional but encouraged!

In this workshop, we’ll have fun and dynamic moments to spark creativity. I will lead a session where participants reflect on their emotions by creating masks, encouraging exploration and self-expression.
NOTE: Access to basic drawing supplies is encouraged.

In my virtual Brazilian dance workshop, students explore the vibrant culture of Brazil through samba, learning fun, energetic movements along with a brief introduction to Brazilian history, language, geography, and the roots of samba.

Based on a traditional Chinese tale and featured at this year's Lunar Fest in New Haven, this mini puppet show features shadow puppets built using traditional methods and is in English and Mandarin languages. The show will be followed by a workshop on making shadow puppets, movement, light, color and shadow puppet screens. 

This Afrobeats dance workshop combines fun and trendy Afrobeats moves with the latest songs and rhythms from this genre.
