How to control the sound and create the best sound possible
How does your sound fit in with the sounds of other instruments
Articulation, Tonguing, and Techniques
Review how to start a note
Review the difference between tonguing verses slurring notes
Building the skills of changing between notes within time
Understand and develop the skills for performing the following articulations: staccato, marcato, accent, tenuto, legato, and normal
Note Accuracy
Review how to read notes on the musical staff
Review how to read notes within context while playing
How to read accidentals
Develop the skills of playing correct notes within context
Rhythmic Accuracy
Understand notes values of: whole, half, quarter, eighth notes, dotted half notes, dotted quarter notes, and sixteenth notes and the correspond rests
Review how to read and count rhythms both isolated and within context
Develop the ability to transfer rhythmic counting to playing both isolated and within context
Interpretation and Musicianship
Review how to play alone and with others
Learn how to play musically
Dynamics
Learn the definitions to dynamic associated terms
