The year 2008, our first step as a school with the philosophy of ‘Kindle, Nurture & Grow’. Young & beautiful minds stepped in our school and were welcomed with warmth & acceptance. Our first year began and we could easily identify individual differences amongst our children, there were children with special needs also. We had taken a step towards inclusivity, a step to make each child feel worthy.
As it is well quoted by Verginia Satir- ‘Feeling of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open and rules are flexible- the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family. It was a beginning; we had recognized that education was not about giving every child the same thing; it was giving each child what they needed to succeed
‘If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn’

We Believe
Every child is born differently but every child has the right to education, this is the cornerstone of inclusive education. Inclusive education is carried out in a common learning environment i.e. an educational setting where students from different backgrounds with different abilities learn together in an inclusive environment. It’s all about how we develop and design our school, classrooms, programs and activities which N.H.Goel World School has been doing from the very first day.
S.K.Tomar
Director Administration
The National Education Policy visualizes an inclusive educational system. It focuses on "Equitable and Inclusive Education" which resonates the idea that no child should be left behind. Active involvement during the student`s life is the right of every child and according to the Indian Constitution as well, everyone is equal before the law. The N.H.Goel World School prides itself on providing a learning platform for the holistic development to all the students. The teachers consider the individual needs of every child in their general support practices.

The importance of inclusion in schools cannot be overstated. It is not just a matter of compliance with regulations; it is a fundamental aspect of creating a positive and enriching educational environment. At NHGWS we empower students to embrace diversity, cultivate empathy, and develop the skills needed to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world. Adopting inclusive practices, our students are more likely to receive the necessary support, accommodation and resources to succeed academically and socially.

Inclusion for me has been a journey of humanizing myself. It’s more internalizing. Learning has been reciprocal, every child whom I met in this journey has taught me some or the other thing. Every parent’s story made me realize how life challenges you, yet you need to stand out against all odds and embrace your loved ones for them to bloom. World can only progress and become a better place for everyone when we accept and respect Individual differences. Let’s outstretch to change lives by simple acts of empathy and provide equal opportunity to all.

Teaching Learning Coordinator
For me inclusion is embracing each and every child with their differences and uniqueness. I believe diversity in each one of us makes us special. Understanding the needs, providing access and creating opportunities to bloom are the basic criteria to be looked upon when we talk about inclusion. It means adapting the differences and yet treating each child uniformly. Accepting the uniqueness, building the confidence, empathizing, hand holding and growing stronger along with each child and their families has been my journey for more than a decade. And I'm looking forward to continuing this process of learning, growing and becoming stronger with each unique child in my classroom.

Inclusion has become a priority of education for holistic development of all the children.
An Inclusive learning environment is rather a platform that helps them to come together, work together and grow together. We must promote inclusive learning so that no child is deprived of the fundamental right and can live up to their dreams. So let's all make efforts to sensitize people, build resilience in children and make them self reliant.

Inclusion is a cornerstone for learning where each and every child can learn together. It is a bulwark for children to learn and for our society to change concepts about education. Inclusion begins with positive mind setup because every child has potential to do something better in life.

Inclusion starts from home, and acceptance is the first step. Being a special educator, I would emphasize to be empathetic towards parents and listen to their challenges. Each one's contribution is important for any child's growth-family, school, community, and nation.
Using total communication (gesture, body language, speech, sign language etc.) helps in enhancing language and communication skills in the children. While interacting with children one must first listen, connect and then respond.

Inclusion, a word that includes everyone. It has drastically changed me. It has been an experiential learning for me and eventually with the use of differentiated instructions and multi sensory approach I could find a way to teach different range of abilities in the classroom. Including all learners is inclusion and therefore as an educator, we should welcome all students of all ability levels, responding to individual learning needs and provide equal opportunities.

I always believe in providing a friendly and comfortable space for all kids. If we as adults connect and then correct the kids, it would make an everlasting impact in their lives. Immediate help and guidance will help build trust in kids and the relationship which will be shared then would be a strong one to cherish lifelong.
