What Students are Learning

In addition to my curriculum / pacing guide linked above, students are learning to be good people.  In order to be successful in band, they must learn about and utilize skills like cooperation, communication, flexibility, teamwork, and responsibility to themselves and others.  Learning notes, rhythms, etc is only the smallest fraction of a comprehensive music education.  Band teaches the whole child because band engages the whole child.
