Hello, my name is Chris Starrett, and I am the Instructional Coach and MTSS Coordinator at Codington. I was raised in Albany, New York, where I began my teaching career as a kindergarten, second, and third grade teacher. Seeking warmer weather, I moved to the beach and continued teaching fourth and fifth grades in Wilmington. During my time there, I earned my second Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Supervision from UNCW and completed my National Board Certification.

My journey in education took me to Wake County as the Enrichment and Science Instructional Specialist. However, nothing beats living at the beach, close to my family, so I returned to take on the role of Instructional Coach at Codington. This is my 24th year in the education system, and I still love my job.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and son, running, listening to music, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. I am passionate about working with teachers and students and witnessing their growth over the years.
