Mrs. Alyce Martin

Hi! I’m Alyce Martin, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Pine Valley family this year!

I was born and raised right here in Wilmington and have a deep love for this community. In 2015, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Child Development from East Carolina University, then went on to receive my Master of Arts in Teaching from UNCW in 2019.

Before coming to Pine Valley, I taught second grade for five wonderful years at Sunset Park Elementary. First grade holds a special place in my heart—I began my teaching journey as a first-grade assistant and completed my student teaching in first grade as well. I’m so excited to return to this amazing grade level!

Outside the classroom, I’m a proud wife to my husband, Tim, and a mom to our sweet son, Lucas. We also have two fun-loving dogs, Benny and Jet. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, going to the beach, and traveling!

I can’t wait for a fantastic year of learning, growing, and fun with my students!
