Mrs. Sokolinsky is a Career Engagement Coordinator with New Hanover County Schools who has spent more than two decades helping students bridge the gap between the classroom and their professional futures. She holds a Master's Degree in Student Development from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor's in Science in Business Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. A National Board Certified Educator, she brings both expertise and genuine passion to her work.
In her role, Mrs. Sokolinsky has cultivated meaningful partnerships with area businesses to create transformative opportunities for students - from field trips and job shadowing experiences to competitive internships and apprenticeships that give real-world context to classroom learning. Her work has proven instrumental in helping students discover their career paths and develop the skills employers seek.
Outside school walls, Sheila is equally committed to personal growth and community impact. An active member of the local triathlon club and a passionate cyclist, she regularly participates in endurance and service events like Cycle NC Coastal Ride and BikeMS. Her dedication to fitness and community service reflects the same drive she brings to supporting her students.
