In addition to skills development, students will build their knowledge in areas such as science, history, the arts, math, and more. Third graders will focus on engaging in grade level texts, read alouds, and shared reading. They will also enhance their comprehension skills and strategies, handwriting, grammar, and vocabulary.
Eureka Squared is our math curriculum. Eureka squared provides levels of flexibility, accessibility, and visibility into student understanding. In math we will cover place value, multiplication and division, multi-operation word problems, geometry, graphing, area and perimeter, fractions, and more!
Studies Weekly is a standards based curriculum that engages students in lessons revolving around civics and economics, government, geography, behavioral sciences, and local history.
We utilize science kits that the county provides. These kits provide hands on learning opportunities for our units of science. This year students can expect to learn about plant growths and soils, the human body, objects in the sky, landforms, and matter and energy.
