Communication Folder- There will be a communication folder sent home daily with important information inside. On the return daily side, there will be a calendar with events and homework.
In the other pocket, there will be activities that your child completed that will be going home. It is very important to return folder daily. **Homework is due on Fridays.**
Behavior Expectations- As a parent myself, I like to keep expectations simple and communication as well. If there is an issue with behavior, I will send a message on Remind or make a phone call. Most of the time, I can manage behavior in my classroom by using praise and encouragement. This year, I will be using a money system to encourage engagement and positive behavior. They will be saving their "Sea Star Sand Dollars" to buy a prize at the store. This helps with place value, money, and using their addition and subtraction skills to keep a budget and encourage positive behavior.
