About Me

My name is Lindsey Hawthorne and this is my 24th year of teaching. I am from Ashland, Ohio.  We decided to move to this beautiful area 12 years ago. I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and literacy intervention.  I have my Master's Degree in Literacy and Curriculum. 

In my free time, I spend time with my family and friends. I have two children. Their names are Ruby and Josh. They are 15 and 13 and are Carolina Beach Elementary alumni.  

I feel very blessed to be a teacher at Carolina Beach Elementary. I enjoy working with children and families every year. It is always so exciting to start a new school year and build relationships.
