We will provide each student with a folder that comes home daily. Please check your child's folder every day for communication logs, newsletters, forms, and report cards.
Please return the folder every day.
This folder can also be used to send lunch money, questions, or notes to school.
The newsletter will be sent home weekly digitally on Class Dojo, in your child's folder, and will be posted on this site. The newsletter will contain important information about your child's education and updates.
Class Dojo is a communication tool that provides quick communication between the teacher and parents. The messages are the best way to reach me quickly. All messages sent from parents will only be seen by the teacher. Class dojo also has a photo page where you can see some pictures of your child learning. These photos are ONLY seen by parents and teachers in our classroom.
Breakfast and lunch will be available but is free to students. More information is available on the child nutrition website.
You may send a lunch box with your student if they prefer.
Students may purchase “extras” such as cookies, chips, and juice. Money for extras can be sent in the communication folder or added to your family nutrition account.
Please visit family.titank12.com to set up a family nutrition account. You can view menus and add money for extras through this resource.
Please, no fast food.
Students who wish to celebrate their birthday with our class family may bring a store brought snack/drink. Make sure to include napkins and plates if needed. Please no gifts or balloons.
Please send a note or message so that I can plan how to distribute the treat and what time works best in our day.
Students should read at home for 20-30 minutes. They can read library books, books borrowed from class, or books they have at home,
Reading fluency pages- these will be exerpts from the books we read in class. Some may be challenging for students and they may need your help or an adult help reading.
Eureka math workbook will be sent home at the beginning of each module. In the weekly newsletter I will list the pages that need to be done based on what lessons we do each week.
Fundations practice sheets- students should only have a few words or a sentence each night. These will not be graded but are GREAT practice for their tests.
These will be checked but will have no impact on students' interim report or report card.
