5th Grade Newsletter June 1 , 2026
The 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony is next Monday, June 8th at the Minnie Evans Arts Center. We have plenty of seating. Siblings and Grandparents are welcome. The ceremony begins at 6:00, but students need to arrive by 5:45 to line up for the procession. Students do need to attend school on Monday to participate on Monday night.
At the ceremony we want to dress to impress, but don’t want anyone to have to go shopping. Boys are not expected to wear a coat and tie, but a collared shirt with khaki pants or khaki shorts would be great. Ideas for Girls include dresses, a top with skirts or pants or even dressy rompers. We want to avoid athletic wear or super casual shorts and t-shirts. Please check with your child’s homeroom teacher if you have concerns.

However, to keep the focus on our fifth-grade students and make this a special, exclusive milestone for our promotion class , this event is for fifth-grade students and their parents only. We kindly ask that younger siblings do not attend.)

Do your best EOG prep at home by getting outside each afternoon, getting at least 10 hours of sleep, and eating a solid breakfast each day.
