Mrs. Wasserberg 

Hello! My name is Mrs. Wasserberg.

I was born in Guatemala and moved to the United States when I was in kindergarten. As an immigrant and former second-language learner, I am passionate about supporting ESL students and helping them succeed both academically and personally.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Florida International University, where I also spent several years teaching students with special needs, many of whom were second-language learners. In 2010, I moved to Wilmington and began teaching K–12 Special Education and ESL at Cape Fear Community College. I later earned my Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from University of North Carolina Wilmington.

With 24 years of teaching experience, I have developed strong relationships with my students and their families, and I truly value being part of their educational journey. I look forward to an exciting and successful 2026–2027 school year!

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Mrs. Wasserberg.

Nací en Guatemala y me mudé a los Estados Unidos cuando estaba en kindergarten. Como inmigrante y ex estudiante de un segundo idioma, me apasiona apoyar a los estudiantes de ESL y ayudarlos a tener éxito tanto académica como personalmente.

Obtuve mi licenciatura en Florida International University, donde también trabajé durante varios años enseñando a estudiantes con necesidades especiales, muchos de los cuales eran estudiantes de un segundo idioma. En el 2010, me mudé a Wilmington y comencé a enseñar Educación Especial y ESL para estudiantes de K–12 en Cape Fear Community College. Más adelante, obtuve mi maestría en Enseñanza de Inglés como Segundo Idioma en University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Con 24 años de experiencia en la enseñanza, he desarrollado relaciones muy especiales con mis estudiantes y sus familias, y valoro mucho ser parte de su trayectoria educativa. ¡Espero con entusiasmo un exitoso y emocionante año escolar 2026–2027!
