Welcome Welcome!  I am so excited to be journeying through history with you!   James Baldwin said "American history is longer, larger, more various, more beautiful, and more terrible than anything anyone has ever said about it."    

I absolutely love history and am learning new things each year about North Carolina and the United States!  This is going to be my tenth year at Holly Shelter Middle School and my eighth-year teaching 8th grade!  I had the opportunity to attend the GREAT Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida for my undergraduate degree (Hail Wildcats!) and Fayetteville State University for my graduate degree!  I am currently in school at UNCW as well!

When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling!
