My name is Amory Fout, and I am a violist and music teacher in Wilmington, North Carolina. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music Education, where I studied elementary general music. While at Bowling Green I studied viola under Matthew Daline-McBride, and performed in masterclasses for Yizhak Schotten, Mark Braunstein, and other local viola professors and professional orchestral musicians.

I have experience teaching orchestra and private string lessons from elementary to high school level. I have performed with the Bowling Green Philharmonia, the Perrysburg Symphony, multiple chamber orchestras, and have played for the New Music Gathering, community concerts, weddings, and other events. I have performed in a few world premieres, including works for various chamber ensembles and a viola and saxophone duet, commissioned by me for my senior recital.

I am currently teaching orchestra and guitar at Holly Shelter Middle School near Wilmington, North Carolina.
