In FACS, students learn practical skills they can use in school, at home, and throughout their lives. Through hands-on activities, projects, discussions, and real-world challenges, students explore nutrition, wellness, clothing, interior design, childcare, and more.
6th Grade — Exploring Nutrition & Wellness
Students explore nutrition, wellness, food choices, kitchen safety, food preparation, and practical cooking skills.
7th Grade — Exploring Apparel & Interior Design
Students explore clothing choices, elements and principles of design, apparel, interior spaces, floor plans, and sustainable design.
8th Grade — Exploring Childcare
Students explore child development, infant and toddler care, safety, childcare responsibilities, and what it takes to be a successful caregiver.
