As a science teacher, I am a strong proponent of the process of science. Science is not a collection of facts we try to make students memorize; it is a process of analyzing and thinking that can lead to discovering facts. In fact, science is the most reliable pathway to truth that we humans have ever developed. If you want to know if something is true (it agrees with reality), SCIENCE is the way to go.
