Spring 2019 was the first ever Cougar Color Run in order to honor a family in need. Each year, we are committed to continually making it bigger and better than the last with the hopes of helping another family, going through a difficult time, as best as possible.
In order to stay true to our event's mission, each year our established committee will review nominations, designate a beneficiary for that year's event, and tirelessly work to raise money, which will be directly donated to that year's recipient, while also striving to raise awareness.
*Please Note: Due to the nature of the years 2020 and 2021, and no obvious needs for a specific person/family in our community, we did not host a Color Run in 2021 in order to lessen the already apparent strain on community sponsors.
Erica Hart-Clark discovered that she is going to blessed with a baby boy, Quentin, this coming May 2020. Unfortunately, she also recently found out that she is battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma, with the stage currently unknown due to the pregnancy and risk of complication. Money will be raised with the hopes of helping offset some of the upcoming costs associated with having a baby, taking time off from work, and undergoing a treatment regimen for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. No one should fight alone!

Our 2019 recipient was Dylan Striet, a current student at North Harrison High School with an expected graduation date of 2021, unfortunately fighting an extensive battle with Leukemia. Dylan was diagnosed in the Fall of 2018, and had accumulated an enormous amount of medical bills, while still trying to maintain attendance and school work when he could. Though unimaginable and unwanted circumstances, we were beyond thrilled to create this event, have Dylan as our first ever recipient, and he be well enough to join us the on the day of the event.
