Hi, my name is Roy Stewart. I graduated from New Hartford Schools in 1988. I hold a bachelor's degree in Art Education from Buffalo State College and a Master's Degree in Information Design and Technology from SUNYIT. I hold permanent New York state certifications to teach Art K -12 and Vocational Ed. I taught for 7 years in a strictly Special Ed. Setting at The United Cerebral Palsy, Armory Rd. Campus, moved to Santa Cruz California, where I worked mostly as a carpenter and I have been teaching at Perry Junior High school since 2001.
I love teaching Art at the JH level. There is a nice mix of higher level art skills mixed with the fun and imagination that only children hold. I enjoyed spending my time in the Art Room growing up and still do! The Art Studio is a place where kids can come to express themselves, learn new skills, and show their talents.
I love teaching art, and your experience in my room will be unforgettable. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot, have fun, and create!
I Love to make cool things! I am always creating, wether it be for myself or commissioned by others. I work in all kinds of media and love to be part of any creative endeavor.
