The Capstone
The Senior Capstone Project is a graduation requirement at North Fayette Valley High School.
The purpose of the Capstone Project is for seniors to share with peers, friends, family, and community members a showcase of the knowledge and skills they have learned throughout high school. The evaluation panel will consist of three to five people from the community, including business leaders, educators, and other professionals. Each panel member will listen carefully to your presentation and ask you a few questions. They will also score your presentation and provide you with written feedback.
In order to graduate and receive a diploma, each student must successfully complete all requirements of the project.
The project results in one credit, with a pass/fail letter grade.
Your final transcript will reflect a ranking of
No Pass: Incomplete Capstone components.
Pass: All Capstone components completed.
High Pass: All Capstone components have been completed and all deadlines met.
Honors: All Capstone components have been completed, research paper/project meet all deadlines, and scored 34-36 on all presentation evaluations.
