In this Mystery, you will investigate vibrations as a source of sound effects for movies. In the activity, Be a Sound Effects Artist, you will use your hands and feet to create a "rainstorm," and then use rulers to create a “boing” sound for a cartoon bouncy ball. For this activity you will need a ruler! This is so fun! Who knew this is how sounds are made for a catroon!

In this Read-Along Mystery, Lin explores the sounds made by different kinds of instruments, and discovers what happens when vibrations start—and when they stop. The Mystery includes a short exercise where you can experiment with a piece of paper to make the connection between vibrations and sound. Hello families and students! Welcome to Week 4 of ELP online activities. I miss all of you and would rather be together with you at school. Spring is in the air and it has never felt so good! I have been line drying my clothes and sheets (my favorite smell in the world), starting to plant some vegetables in my garden, and have planted a few flowers in the flowerbeds. We got our first lawn mow of the year in as well. I've been going for long walks with my two kids and with our Black Lab, Diesel.
