The Varsity Competition team consisted of 7 members who competed in the Non-Tumble Varsity Division all year. Their first competition of the year was the Cheertime Athletics Competition at Columbiana High School where they got 1st place out of 2 teams. They competed at Cheertime Athletics NEO Championship and received 3rd place out of 4 teams. They competed in the OASSA Regionals Cheer event in the Northeast division against 5 other teams, and qualified to go onto the State Championships with 3 other teams.
This had been the first time in at least a decade that a team from Newton Falls had qualified for the OASSA state competition. With the help of local sponsors, the team headed to the OASSA State Cheer Competition held at Pickerington High School. The girls placed 10th in their division. With only 7 members, they were the smallest team in attendance with the biggest spirit!

The Varsity boys and girls basketball teams and cheerleaders had the opportunity to go to Fairhaven school and spend the day learning about future career options in special education. They spent the morning reading to the younger grades then spent the afternoon playing a basketball game and cheering with the Fairhaven Bulldogs, followed by a fun pizza lunch with everyone.
The J.V., Varsity, and J.H. cheerleaders held their annual cheer clinic with girls in grades prek-6 who spent the week learning cheers and helped cheer at a varsity football game.
