1975-76

The 1975-76 yearbook has a description that reads: Varsity Cheerleaders

Hosting the pep rallies, leading cheers at games, and performing routines at halftime were just a few of the many responsibilities of the Varsity Cheerleaders. Chanting and cheering to arouse spirit, the girls had no effort to spare in the supporting our teams. the cheering season started last summer for our girls when they attended Cheerleading Association's Camp held at Malone.

The description for Junior Varsity Cheerleaders:

Also contributing to the cheering and performing of new dances, the J.V. cheerleaders added support for the teams. the four lucky girls were chosen in spring of last year and in order to give good performances in front of the crowd, have worked hard since. Working with the Varsity in their many money-making projects the JV's helped toward the purchase of new uniforms. Although the JV cheerleaders didn't get the chance to go to cheerleading camp, they contributed new and original routines and cheers during the year.

Supporting the junior high teams, the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade cheerleaders cheered their teams on to victory. Working after school the girls put in long hours of practicing to achieve perfection. Their grand performances brought pride to their fellow classmates. Watching them, we realize our school has a promising future of talented high school cheerleaders.
