The yearbook from the 1952-1953 yearbook has a page for cheerleaders. There is a team photo and roster. The description says:
"This group of cheerleaders was the first in the history of Newton Falls High School to raise money on their own in order to secure new uniforms. They sold Mums at the Homecoming Football game and also sold small tiger pins. The girls consisted of four seniors and two juniors. We think the girls had a successful year and we are hoping to see Mildren and Ruthie again next year. Lots of luck girls, you did a fine job."
