1938-1939

During the 1938-1939 school year there is not photos or mentions of Cheerleaders. In the senior biographic accomplishments section, Senior Ted Davis has Cheerleader mentioned for his freshmen and sophomore year of High School.  This would suggest that there were cheerleaders during the 1935-1936 school year and the 1936-1937 school year.  Only one male is seen in a group photo labeled "cheerleaders" from the 1936-1937 yearbook. Tad Davis is listed on the sophore page from that year as being a cheerleader. 

It was typical at the time for young men to be the "Cheerleaders" during the 1930's at universities and high schools and lead the crowds in cheers at football games.
