It is IMPERATIVE that ALL SENIORS (including online and TCTC students) subscribe to the "Class of 2027 - Seniors" Google Classroom. The Google Classroom is the main place for Senior Class announcements, information on scholarships, tips on applying to college, and more. The Senior Class Advisor may post updates here as well. If you need to be invited to the Google Classroom, reach out to Mrs. Miller.

Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Preston will meet with each senior individually at the beginning of the year to review their progress toward meeting the graduation requirements.
Students in the Class of 2027 must earn at least two Diploma Seals. To meet this requirement, you must earn at least 2 State Diploma Seals or 1 State Diploma Seal and 1 Local Diploma Seal. Click here to review the available Diploma Seals and their requirements. Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Preston will also review seals at our individual meetings, but students can discuss this at any time with Mrs. Miller and complete the form for Local Seal approval if needed.
Complete this Google Form to request that Mrs. Miller send your high school transcript to a College/University/Trade School. Do not email your request. You must fill out this form.
If you need to request a letter of recommendation, complete a Brag Sheet for the writer to use as a guide as they write your letter. Click here for a Counselor Brag Sheet, or here for a Teacher Brag Sheet. Be sure to give them at least one week's notice to write the letter, and tell them how/where to submit it.
Students applying to college should also complete the FAFSA at https://studentaid.gov/. This is required to be eligible for Federal Financial Aid. More detailed instructions are posted in the Senior Class Google Classroom.
The FAFSA usually opens around October 1 each year, and should be completed as soon as possible. Deadlines can be found on the FAFSA website.
Common App is a platform where students can apply to many different colleges in one place with one application. More detailed instructions are posted in the Senior Class Google Classroom.
Check your College/University/Trade School's website, or contact their Financial Aid department for information on merit-based scholarships and other scholarship opportunities.
Mrs. Miller will post scholarships as she receives them in the Google Classroom.
You can also find other scholarship opportunities by searching the internet for scholarships specific to your major, life circumstances, etc. There are so many scholarships out there; you just have to find them! Students are responsible for finding and applying for scholarships. If you need a copy of your transcript for your application, be sure to fill out the Transcript Request Google Form (above).
Local Scholarships: The Newton Falls community shows incredible financial support to its graduating seniors. The application for the Local Scholarships is posted in the Senior Class Google Classroom around March. Students apply to all Local Scholarships with one application and essay, and winners are announced at the Scholarship Award Ceremony in May.
