Problem: The problem that our customers have, which our product will help solve is losing your golf ball. When you lose your golf ball it can cause frustration, anger or just an unpleasant golf game. Our product will help in saving the cost of continued ball replacement and provide a less frustrating golf game. You will be able to spend more time golfing, and less time searching for your ball. This product will help our customers who are seeking to improve their golf game and make it more enjoyable achieve this goal. Our product's main purpose is to help find your golf ball but the spray can also be applied to other items such as baseballs, frisbee golf discs, etc.
Solution: Our product is a pair of sunglasses with a unique lens that comes with a can of reflective spray paint to apply to your golf ball (can also be applied to other objects such as frisbee golf discs, baseballs, etc.) The paint coating on the golf ball allows you to find your ball easier when you put the glasses on. The ball will glow making everything else around it appear dark. This will help golfers have a more efficient golf game because they will spend less time searching for their ball.
Reflection from Mr. Wismer: As seniors, Jasmine & Kaytlin took the new class at Horace Mann High School called INCubatorEdu. It was in this course that they clearly found there place. Jasmine, Kaytlin and her team easily stood out as the benchmark in the class for other students. The team created a dynamic new product that solved a real problem, embraced the feedback cycle, was thoroughly developed, and at the same time, were passionate about the work. Although the course was only a semester long, Jasmine & Kaytlin elected to take an independent study for the second semester to continue their entrepreneurial venture. To culminate their work, they competed in the Fond du Lac Chamber IGNITE Youth Idea Challenge, a county-wide entrepreneurship challenge. Their endless preparations and diligent overwhelmingly earned them first place in the event along with a $2,000 scholarship. It was a well-earned win.
