CGI-Marketing Legacy Program

The Nezperce FFA is participating in the CGI-Marketing Legacy Program for the 2022-2023 School Year.

We are asking local farmers to donate bushels of soft white wheat to the Nezperce FFA to be marketed and sold by students in Mr. Stapleton's Botany class. The purpose of this program is two-fold. The first is to teach students about marketing commodities in a real world commodity market. With the help of Columbia Grain marketing specialists, students will learn the different aspects of marketing grain. The second is to provide a form of fundraising for the Nezperce FFA. All proceeds from marketed soft white wheat will go to the Nezperce FFA to help with travel costs for students to the different events that they participate in. Including the State Leadership Conference in Twin Falls, State FFA Career Development Events in Moscow and possibly the National FFA Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana in the fall of 2023.

Please call your local Columbia Grain office if you wish to donate soft white wheat. We hope to have all donations by Oct. 1, 2022 and all grain will be marketed by May 1, 2023.

The mission of the “CGI – Marketing Legacy Program” is to cultivate growth with local FFA chapters by providing them tools for a sustainable, hands-on grain marketing program. This program will in turn provide resources back to the local FFA chapters to help grow and develop our future leaders in agriculture.
