Elections are a healthy part of the political process, and I believe SE Texans should have options. I am excited for the opportunity to work WITH the people of my district, as well as other Texans across this great state. I am uniquely qualified to work with families and neighbors in crafting legislation that will celebrate our unique district and fine-tune our ability to provide for our families.
The open border policies are tearing Texas apart from within. All counties are border counties now, and we should take intentional action to fix the problems. It is a humanitarian crisis that not only hurts the citizens of my district, but it also harms the economic refugees pouring into our country. We should never condone policies that end with children being trafficked, women being abused, and fathers' dying in the waters of the Rio Grande.
I am a proud former educator, and I am aware of the financial burdens placed on some who choose a route other than public education. I am open to the discussion of specific ways to EMPOWER parents, without exposing families to government overreach in how they raise their children. Our children aren't wards of the state, they are OUR children!
I prefer a plan that is more taxpayer friendly, instead of one that caters more to businesses. Businesses will pass their burdens on to the consumer, so there is a dissonance and shell game of where the axe will fall. The voters I have spoken with wholeheartedly agree that although we have a good start, we should never give up on getting the work done that will eliminate property taxes completely. I am determined to see this through, for your family and for mine
I believe that a representative should REPRESENT. Not govern. The key to representing this district is understanding the hard-working families and the challenges found in this area. I was not born with a silver-spoon in my mouth and I have worked hard to achieve every victory in my life. I think of my family, your family, and our neighbors in making this decision. It is not something I take lightly, nor am I foolish enough to think this will be easy. This is a huge thing to do, yet I am willing to step into the fray and wage this battle on behalf of the district and grassroots families, like yours and mine, who remain frustrated by our political process and lack of conservative representation.
I am running FOR my district, FOR my neighbors, and FOR the chance to represent them in Austin.
