Parents’ Casual Coffee Morning, Tuesday, 4 June, 8:45am, NPG Lounge

Please join us in the NPG Lounge at 8:30am on 4 June for a coffee and pastry on us. No speakers, no presentations, just the NPG General Committee and NPG Class Reps saying thank you to all parents for your support, feedback and help throughout the 2018-2019 academic year. Parents’ Night Out

Thursday, 6 June, 7:00pm, Da Paolo, 3 Rochester Park

We’ve reached the end of yet another academic year, the school has excelled, the community has grown and are move is fast approaching, it’s time to laugh, celebrate, say “see you soon”, or say “goodbye”. Please keep the evening of 6 June free for drinks and finger food. It’ll be casual and a great opportunity to wish friends and neighbours a safe and happy summer holiday (or winter holiday, for those of us hailing from below the Equator). All parents welcome - only 15 tickets remaining! Purchase each afternoon from the Fishpond or find a Committee Member.

Breaking fast for Ramadam

At sunset, 7:09pm, on Wednesday, 29 May, a diverse group of Nexus community members gathered at the School for a pot luck breaking of the daily fast for those observing Ramadan. A truly inclusive event supporting our Muslim community members who observe Ramadan’s fundamental principles of charity, abstinence and a commitment to perform good deeds throughput the Fasting Month.

About the Nexus Parent Group:

One of our School’s unique pillars is what many parents and staff describe as a special community spirit. The NPG serves dual purposes within our community. Firstly, to provide parents with a platform through which to start conversations and provide feedback to the School – to be “a voice of the School community”. Secondly, to offer a range of great social, cultural and special interest events. We welcome all volunteers to join our vibrant and diverse committee, with the main aim of maintaining an inclusive NPG where all ideas are considered valuable.
