As part of the Primary School quality assurance processes, a randomly selected sample of Year 7 learners will shortly participate in the ACER ISA assessments. The International Schools’ Assessment (ISA) is a high-quality assessment used by international schools and schools with an international focus to monitor student performance over time and to confirm that their internal assessments are aligned with international expectations of performance.
The ISA supports Nexus to compare attainment in the Primary School against other schools worldwide as part of our quality assurance processes. ACER has gained invaluable experience in developing assessments that are culturally and educationally appropriate for students from many language and educational backgrounds. The ISA is based on the internationally endorsed frameworks for the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). Year 7 learners are selected to enable us to measure the progress and attainment of our learners during their time in primary schools.

We will share the main findings in January 2019 when the data is fully analysed against all the other schools taking part.
It was wonderful to see our learners in the new HPE kit this week. These Year 8's gave the kit a test run in their fitness lesson, and they are still looking pretty cool after their challenging 'beep test'!
We would like to start phasing out the use of learner's own shorts and t-shirts for physical lessons; but please do continue to use the old HPE kit for the next academic year if you have not yet purchased the new kit.
