In recognition of World Cancer day on 4th February, some of our IB learners are running a dress up day to raise funds to support cancer research.
Please show your colourful support this coming Friday.
I am very excited to announce that we will be hosting a concert. Yes, an actual concert where parents are invited to attend and watch! It promises to be a fabulous evening and it is also our first concert with an audience in the new auditorium.
Our musicians have been busy rehearsing a number of songs and some of them have also volunteered to perform a solo or duet. Our guitar tutor, Mr Hiro has been supporting the learners to prepare within their guitar lessons and ensemble rehearsals. The concert will be a lovely platform which supports learning and will enable a positive playing experience.
The concert will be on Thursday 24th February at 7pm. Parents will be welcomed into the auditorium from 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will place some seating in the level 2 atrium for those parents arriving early, however, please ensure there is no mingling and there should only be groups of 5.
Tickets
As a school, we must take note of who is in the audience, therefore, please complete this ticketing form prior to arrival.
We thank you for your support. We understand it has been a very long time since concerts have taken place and we do hope that you will be able to join us and encourage family and friends to come along too. The event will last no more than 1 hour.

Y12 IB Musicians are putting on a Charity Rock Band Gig on Wednesday 2nd March. They are fundraising for Children's Cancer Foundation and are really excited to be able to bring a live performance with an audience!
Brandon, Oliver, Nate, Danny, Jack, Alvin and Marcus are planning this event as part of their CAS and will be performing an eclectic mix of popular songs from rock anthems to ballads. Come and join us for what promises to be a fun event all in aid of an amazing cause.

I never fail to be utterly astonished by the warmth and genuine care in our community. Nexus is an incredible school and I feel privileged when I hear the ideas, tips, strategies and tactics that learners, staff and families share to help each other out.
As we prepare for our upcoming Wellbeing Week (Monday 14th March - Friday 18th March) we would like to capture some of these creative and helpful tips. We would love you to share what has worked for you and your wellbeing here.
We will then share these 'tips from the toilet' on the back of our bathroom stalls across the whole building so that our learners and staff can read them. The deadline is Monday 28th February.
